1 14-16 ounce tube or ball of pizza dough
1 3/4 cups shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup marinara sauce plus more for dipping
1 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
6 ounces sliced ham or canadian bacon
1 egg lightly beaten
optional garnish: chopped parsley
